Rebecca Van't Hof / Owner / President
American Child Care, Inc. was created by Rebecca in 1988, when her first daughter Amanda, was born. While traveling with her family, Rebecca was in need of a babysitter to care for her infant. The service was anything but pleasant, and she was unable to leave her child with the unprofessional sitter. Rebecca came away from that experience with a great idea, to create a reliable sitting service for traveling parents in need of a caring, professional sitter. American Child Care, Inc. was born, and Rebecca had merged the two things that she loves the most - children and beautiful hotels! Since then, American Child Care, Inc. has become the premier childcare provider to the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Peninsula and Fairmont Hotels. In 1994 ACC opened an office in San Francisco and the New York office opened in 2003. We now service hotels in all three cities. Rebecca's mission is to "exceed the expectations of five star hotels and their guests."
Melanie Dungca / General Manager
Melanie joined our staff in April of 2005. Melanie attended the University of St. Francis for four years. She has experience in a variety of child care environments. As a pre-school teacher for four years in a KinderCare center, Melanie understands the unique issues that families struggle with while traveling. She also worked as a site development instructor and coordinator for site accreditation for NAEYCE accreditation. Melanie has also many years of experience working with special needs children, and has volunteered with community programs and centers to help develop childcare programs. Melanie is committed to ensuring that American Child Care, Inc. maintains the highest level of care and professionalism. She is instrumental in the day to day operations of ACC and our future growth.
